We recently received a number of photographs taken by the late David Rose (OM 1960 - 67) of the MGS Railway Society. We believe these photographs date from approximately 1965

These were obviously taken long after I had left MGS in 1958. I was one of the founder members of the Railway Society in about 1955/6. The initial idea came from the late Philip Millard who left from History V1 about 1957 and we met in one of the basement rooms of the Science block (S24 or S25 ?). By the time that I left we had built a three platform terminus in 00 gauge using some newly available flexible track while Millard was building a locomotive though I cannot now recall whether he completed it.
