Dr Martin Boulton, High Master
Over a third of all grades were at the coveted A* level, whilst 90% of grades were A*-B.
No fewer than 14 boys achieved four A* grades, a truly extraordinary feat and one boy was awarded 5 A* grades. 33 boys achieved three or more A* grades, and 59 two or more A*s;
These stunning results come on top of the outstanding performance of MGS boys in the IB Diploma, when pupils averaged more than 37.6 points, with one pupil gaining the highest award of 45 points. This all only confirms the 2013 Independent Schools' Inspectorate's judgement that the achievements of pupils at MGS are exceptional'.
Oxford and Cambridge offered places to 33 of our boys.
These are just two of the many Russell Group universities to which MGS boys will be heading this autumn.
Others include Imperial, UCL, LSE, Durham, Warwick, York, KCL, Manchester, Nottingham and Leeds.AS results were also released today and were particularly strong, which bodes well for boys' university applications next year. I am so proud and delighted at the achievements of our boys, and that they have secured places at some of the top universities worldwide.
Truly, their hard work has been rewarded. I would like to congratulate them, and wish them every success on the next exciting stage in their academic career.
